This has at least 2 consequences for Content Marketers:
1. Content Marketing is becoming more and more important: companies can't use old fashion backlinking techniques anymore.
2. Content needs to be shareable and target humans - not robots. In particular content curators who will amplify their content impact by adding the right context to the right audience.
