watching what I want, where and when I want it.

Have you noticed? Social media has been evolving! Here's why you're seeing more pictures and video clips all over your social feeds.

Fotos, videos, viñetas, infografías... están ganando terreno al contenido escrito en redes sociales. Ese aumento del contenido visual ¿es un fenómeno exclusivo de las redes sociales?

Excellent and exhaustive punch to the gut of the many "content marketing" myths that exist. I would've added a section on Mark Schaefer's Content Shock, but that 1,000 word post is for another time. Between then (when I write the rejoinder) and now read Rand Fishkin's riff on why "inbound marketing" fails and see if you recognize some of your myths, urban legends and untruths about content marketing.

How content marketing works? Get ready for the long, entertaining and highly informative trip. I like the section about "content without a community", a real eye opener.

This is a good tool to gauge progress in how and where your content is getting shared. It's the tiny down arrow carat for the dropdown menu top right of your updates. Bottom of the Menu you'll find Ripples. This gives insight on people in your circle who shared your content and people outside your circle who shared. This gives good indication of who you might add to your circles and engage with. When starting out, the best advice is join some Google+ communities to find like-minded people to grow your circles. It is just as important to share other peoples content as it is your own in order to earn recognition as someone other people would appreciate your generosity. As in any marketing endeavor, trust is the top currency and it hold true on Google+.

Interesting to think of content as a currency. Content does act like a currency in a lot of ways including:
* Costs lower over time (as engine gets more efficient and archive is built). * Returns multiply exponentially once authority is established. * Investment is required to have a chance to create authority. * Similar posts "upsale" lists. * Related posts "cross-sale lists. * Most commented on list.
By treating content as the "products" and "currency" it is your website and Internet marketing team is more likely to have content do the most magical thing - clone itself via social likes and shares.

Yes Jan... I don't know exactly what you are referring to, but this the only sure thing we have today: this is time of fast and continuous change... so I am certainly enjoying the ride.
On another note: I would humbly suggest to consider posting shorter stories, especially when you are also pointing to the original, as what I am looking for from you, is not a rehash of what's in the article - outside of a 1-3 para excerpt - but the reasons why you are recommending it. You are already doing both, but it is overwhelming for me. Too much stuff, and I haven't even seen the original yet. I would also gently mute some of the visual noise you create by heavily formatting with asterisks, bolds and big font sizes. In my case that doesn't help much. It actually hinders my ability to rapidly scan and check whether you have something good there. I suggest to limit greatly the formatting options you use and to highlight only what is really relevant, because when too many things are highlighted, bolded, asterisked, none has any more an effect on me. It's like a crowd screaming: who do you help? :-)

Curations happen among all types of people AND in all types of environments. Human networking is one of the most powerful tools that can go beyond physical interaction and in turn be utilized in further industries.

If you are serious about your job search or developing your career, you cannot ignore content curation. Not only you need to read a lot of articles in your field to stay up to date but you also need to add some analysis and offer your opinion if you want to build and keep your reputation as an expert. 99% of recruiters are using internet to search for candidates.
