The U.S has dealt with with many financial hardships over the past 50 years. Things such as recessions, pandemics, and terrorist attacks have affected the economy. Sports is way to take your mind off of what is going on in the world. Look at this past summer with the quarantine. The U.S was on lock down for a couple weeks and things felt like they would never go back to normal. The NBA was the first sports to come back after the lock down. There were no fans allowed at the games, this means there was not to much financial gain. The league has so much money that one bad season will not hurt them. As we continue to deal with pandemic, sports are trying to find a way to come back and provide financial help to the economy.
