A lot of #LiesToldByFemales are women claiming to adhere more closely to traditional gender roles than they actually do, to present themselves as more chaste and more submissive than they actually are.
“Monster porn”, otherwise known as “monster erotica”, “cryptozoological erotica”, and “erotic horror”, should be well-known to fans of this site. These sexy stories employ mythical creatures — everything from vampires, demons, zombies, and other monsters to centaurs, mermaids, leprechauns, and aliens — as sex partners. And apparently this upsets people enough for them to censor such stories. But why?
This affects things like cosplay too. Some say that the mainstreaming of cosplay has created a sexist and hypersexualized aura surrounding the hobby. They say that “surge of ‘fake geek girls’” who are “pretty and wearing something revealing” are quickly “labeled cosplay ‘celebrities’ and are featured on dozens of websites” as authorities to the detriment of other costumers and hobbiests. In other words, the media packaging of traditional beauty standards have gotten in the way of the fun for everyone in cosplay.
