How can you become a POWER Tweeter? Learn from how Power Tweeters tweet. This study of the SEO Meetup in Raleigh on 3.26 shares cool Power Tweeter tips.

Was so BUZZED by great Raleigh #SEOMeetup last night on why Content Marketing is the New SEO with @1918 (Phil Buckley, @CommsNinja (Amy Lewis) and @Casieg (Casie Gillette) and me that I wanted to keep the buzz on by doing a deep dive into the event's TWEETS. 

I am not so nerdy to think the DIVE is the fun, but finding out things that can help me tweet better is cool. Things like:

* Tweet More.
* Tweet Better by including more mentions.

* Tweet with hashtags. 
* At events, FOLLOW those who RT you.

* Tweet BEFORE and AFTER the event (with the #hashtag).
* Open Search.Twitter.com and follow #EventHashtag.

* RT great tweets and follow (90% they follow you back). 

There are charts and graphs and the event video from the Live to the web broadcast via a Google Hangout (thanks to Nikol Murphy and her Talking Moose Media company).

"Earlier this week, Gartner Research released a study with the headline 'Gartner predicts that by 2014, 80 percent of current gamified applications will fail to meet business objectives primarily because of poor design.' "

 

Gamification combines the interactive elements and reward systems of electronic games with business objectives to produce not only greater interactivity, but better business results.

Gamification, like any other tactic, can fail but I agree with Mike and believe when it does fail it says more about how it was executed than the value of applying game theory and gamification to marketing and the web. Games are sticky and gamfication, the creatio of an ongoing game, makes a website STICKY.
