The mythic glory of the invincible Apple brand is evaporating in numerous ways:

 

False Illusion of Security

 

For years, Apple users crowed that Macs are safer than PCs and security software is unnecessary – a myth perpetuated by commerce. Cyber criminals focused their efforts on PCs because it’s more profitable to go after the far larger population of PC users. But success breeds danger and a series of large-scale attacks on Macs, as well as major media outlets like The Wall Street Journal, has finally made Mac users feel vulnerable.
